It is critical to choose the right inspector for one of the most important emotional decisions and financial investments
that you will ever make. Welcome! I am Jan Foley, the owner/inspector of Mountain High Home Inspections and I want to be that
inspector. The picture below is of a home that I built from the ground up some years ago. I was the General Contractor,
the carpenter, the electrician, the plumber, the roofer, the mason, the landscaper, and multiple other trades for this
project.

This was an extraordinary experience for me to learn
so much about a home in such a short period of time. The home is a 3100 square foot custom structure with few square
corners. If you look at the architecture you will see loads of angles. Needless to say, the framing stage of this project
offered some challenges. The front of the building has the greenhouse (the shape is a pentagon) that penetrates into
the building. The greenhouse then fits into a larger part of the structure housing the kitchen and living room. (this is two
sides of a hexagon) This unit of the home then attaches to a rectangle in the rear that houses the bedrooms, bathrooms,
library, and such.
I have an intimate understanding of
the workings of a home from this and several other large projects I've completed over the years. In addition to these experiences,
I also have two years of Electrical Engineering course work to enhance my understanding of the electrical systems of
the home. I received my professional
training at Inspection Training Associates (ITA), one of the nation’s premier accredited inspection schools. The ITA training
was a great baseline education upon which to add my real world experiences.
I am a member in good standing of the InterNational Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI), and am committed to the InterNACHI
Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. InterNACHI has stringent continuing education requirements that keeps
our membership current with changing technology. I have also passed the proctored National Home Inspection Exam extending my ITA credentials to the
national level. Mountain High Home Inspections also offers radon gas inspections. I am radon gas measurement trained
through the Center for Envionmental Research & Technology, Inc. (CERTI). In addition, I am also certified to perform
mold sampling inspections and am double radon certifed through the International Association of Indoor Air Consultants (IAC2)
